THANDAI PURN POLI TRUFFLES

A festive fusion sweet made from leftover Thandai Puran Poli stuffing, transformed into indulgent bite-sized truffles. These rich little treats combine the traditional flavors of sweet toor dal, cardamom, nutmeg, and aromatic thandai spices with creamy white chocolate coating.

Soft on the inside, silky on the outside, and finished with crunchy pistachios — these truffles are elegant, festive, and perfect for Holi gifting, dessert platters, or party treats. A beautiful modern twist on traditional Indian flavors!

Makes: 12–15 truffles

Ingredients:

1 cup Thandai Puran Poli stuffing
(made with toor dal, sugar, cardamom, nutmeg & thandai powder)
150–200 gm white chocolate
1 tbsp chopped pistachios
1 tsp ghee or coconut oil (optional, for smooth chocolate)

Method:

Take small portions of the prepared thandai puran mixture. Roll into smooth marble-sized balls.
Place on a plate and chill for 10–15 minutes.

Melt white chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in short intervals.
Add a little ghee or coconut oil if needed for a smoother consistency.

Dip each chilled truffle into melted white chocolate.
Coat evenly and remove excess chocolate gently.

Place coated truffles on butter paper or a tray.
Sprinkle chopped pistachios while chocolate is still wet.

Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until the coating sets.
Serve chilled or at room temperature.
