RAW BANANA PERI PERI FRIES

French fries of everyone. These deep fried delciacy is prepared from potatoes generally but I prepared it from raw bananas.
Raw Bananas/Plantains are originated in Southeast Asia around 8000 to 5000BC. It is believed that banana is world’s first cultivated fruit. Potassium rich bananas contain 75% water. It is also contain few vitamins such as Vitamin B6 and C in decent amount. These nutrients of bananas gives health benefits like heart health and colon health.
Here I have prepared raw banana fries wirh South Africa originated spice peri peri or piri piri.

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 10minutes
Serves: 2 persons

Ingredients:

2 raw bananas
1 tbsp peri peri spice
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp mayonise
Coriander or any fresh herb for garnish
Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Peel and chop raw bananas and keep them in water.
  2. Heat oil and deep fry them on medium flame till they become crispy.
  3. Add peri peri spice mix and toss well.
  4. Mix ketchup and mayonise properly and pour it on fries. Garnish with coriander.
  5. Serve hot with more dip.
