OATS – RICE FRITTERS

Rains, cloudy weather, lazy days, hungry tummies, cravings for hot & spicy food – all these came along with monsoon. Rains & Pakodas are best companions. Human nature demands change in everything. Though we all make various types of Pakodas, Fritters, Croquettes etc. Every time, we mix & match ingredients & make fusion dishes. Also as responsible person we should not waste food. So leftover varieties are also there in our menu. Today’s fritter is a fusion of leftover rice & super food Oats, along with fenugreek leaves.

Ingredients:
1 cup leftover rice
1/4 cup oats
1/2 cup finely chopped fenugreek leaves
1/2 cup gram flour
1/4 cup rice flour
1 tbsp red chilli powder
2 pinch asafoetida
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Chat masala for sprinkle.

Method:
1. Soak oats in little water for few minutes.
2. Now mix all ingredients & make batter like Pakoda.
3. Heat oil, add 1 tbsp hot oil in batter & mix well. Now fry pakoda in hot oil on medium heat.
4. Sprinkle chat masala & serve hot.
