Pudina Sev is a vibrant, flavourful twist on the classic sev. Fresh mint and green chilli paste infused into gram-flour dough gives this snack its refreshing aroma and a delicious herby punch. Light, crisp and mildly spicy, this sev is perfect for tea-time munching, festive snack platters, or as a topping for chaats.
A homemade batch ensures pure flavours, no preservatives, and that irresistible fragrance of fresh pudina every time you open the box.

Total Time: 25 minutes
Serves: 4–5 people (approx. 2 cups of sev)
2 cup besan (gram flour)
1/2 cup mint paste
1 tsp hot oil (moyan)
Salt to taste
Water as needed
Oil for frying
For Spice mix:
2 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp black salt
Method:
In a bowl add besan, salt and hot oil. Combine well.
Add the mint paste gradually and knead into a soft, smooth dough. Add little water only if needed.
Grease your sev maker and use the thin/medium sev plate. Fill the dough.
Heat oil on medium flame.
Press the sev in a circular motion into the hot oil. Fry on medium heat until crisp and light golden.
Flip gently and cook evenly.
Sprinkle prepared spice mix .
Allow sev to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
