FRUIT RAITA (FRUIT YOGURT BOWL)

Raita is a special part of Indian cuisine. Made by mixing various ingredients into yogurt, raita becomes a favorite during the summer. Today, I’ve made raita (fruit yogurt bowl) using a mix of fruits.

Serves: 2 persons

Ingredients:

1.5 cups fresh yogurt

1/2 cup homemade cream (malai)

1 cup mixed fruits

1 tablespoon chopped cucumber

1 tablespoon chopped coriander

1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder

1/2 teaspoon black salt

Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Mix the cream into the yogurt and whisk lightly.
  2. Add salt and black salt, and mix well.
  3. Add all the fruits, cucumber, and coriander. Mix gently and refrigerate to chill.
  4. Serve cold. You can also add sugar if desired.
