ITALIAN CHANA SALAD

Kala chana, also known as Desi chana or black chickpea, is a protein-rich cereal consumed in various dishes. Today, I’m sharing a unique Italian-inspired kala chana salad recipe.

Serves: 2 persons
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups boiled kala chana
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup finely chopped yellow bell pepper
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green capsicum
- 6-8 cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh basil leaves
- 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup basil pesto
- 1 tablespoon Italian mixed herbs
- Black salt to taste
Method:
- In a mixing bowl, combine boiled kala chana, onions, bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes.
- Add pesto, herbs, and salt. Mix well.
- Squeeze lemon juice and sprinkle coriander and basil. Mix again.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your wholesome and healthy Italian Chana Salad!
