OATS PANEER CHILLA

Chilla is a healthy and delcious Indian savoury pancakes, basically prepared from gram flour along with some vegetables. Apart from gram flour, chilla can be prepared from other flours, pulses, oats etc.
Today, I have prepared chilla using oats, gram flour and rice flour and topped with paneer carrot mixture.

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2 persons
Ingredients:
For Chilla batter:
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup gram flour
1/2 cup rice flour
1 tsp carom seeds
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/8 tsp asafoetida
Salt to taste
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
For Topping:
1/4 cup grated paneer
1/4 cup grated carrot
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
1 tsp chaat masala
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking chilla
Method:
- Dry roast oats on a low flame, cool it and then grind into a coarse powder.
- In a mixing bowl, add both flour along with oats powder, coriander, salt and spices.
- Add water gradually and prepare lumpfree batter.
- For topping: Mix paneer, carrot, coriander, chaat masala, salt and keep ready.
- Now heat the skillet, take a ladleful of chilla batter and prepare chilla on a skillet. Add few drops of oil.
- Now spread prepared mixture uniformly. Once it is cooked from one side, carefully flip chilla and cook the other side.
- Serve hot.
