MARIGOLD COOKIES

Cookies are a type of biscuits which are typically baked, small, flat and sweet.
Cookies can be consumed any time either as a snack or as in breakfast. Some enjoy it as a dessert too. History says that origin of cookies was in Persia in 7th century A.D.
There are several variations in cookies such as Bar cookies, drop cookies, filled cookies, molded cookies, pressed cookies, no bake cookies, refrigerator cookies, sandwich cookies etc. Making process differs but any type of cookies are favourite of all.
Today, I have prepared Marigold cookies using marigold petals and condensed milk. These cookies are slightly chewier and can be prepared with very less ingredients and quickly.

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Baking time: 15-20 minutes
Makes : 12-15 cookies
Ingredients:
1.5 cup all purpose flour
200 gram condensed milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
Pinch of salt
1/4 cup marigold petals (dried or fresh )
Method:
- Beat butter and sugar till it becomes light and fluffy.
- Further add condensed milk and vanilla essence and beat until smooth.
- Add flour and salt. Mix and fold to form smooth dough. Then add Marigold petals and mix.
- Divide and prepare cookies. You can give shape of your choice or roll and cut with cookie cutter. Line the prepared cookies in a baking tray.
- Bake cookies ,for about 15 minutes on 180℃ in preheated oven.
- Once baked, after 4-5 minutes, remove from the oven and transfer it on wire rack and let it cool completely.
- Store it in air tight jar and relish when you wish.
