MANGO OATS

The oat is a species of cereal grain grown for it’s seeds which is known by the same name. Oats are mainly used in oatmeal and in rolled oats form for human consumption. Oats are a nutritious cereal loaded with energy, carbohydrates, dietary fibers and proteins. It is a good source of minerals like phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and calcium. It has a property of lowering cholesterol levels.
Mango- the king of fruit and national fruit of India is a tropical fruit loaded with vitamin A and C. Although oats are nutritious and healthy, their taste and texture is not liked by all. Adding mangoes not only makes oats delicious but more healthy.

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2 persons
Ingredients:
1/4 cup oats
1/2 cup mango pulp
1/2 cup mango chunks
2 cups milk
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
Method:
- Add milk in a thick bottom pan, add sugar and let it boil.
- After one boil, add oats and let it cook on a slow flame. Stir occasionally. Once it is cooked and consistency become thick, turn off the heat. Let it cool.
- Once it cools down, add mango pulp and mix. Add half of the mango chunks. Keep it in refrigerator.
- At the time of serving, sprinkle pumpkin seeds and rest of mango chunks.
- Serve chilled.
Note: - You can serve it at room temperature.
- Can add your choice of seeds.
