HANDVA WAFFLE

Handvo is a popular Gujarati snack which can also be consumed as a meal. Waffle is an international dessert which is made in special waffle machine and served with honey , maple syrup , chocolate syrup etc. Here ,I have made a savoury waffle using handva batter, instead of all purpose flour.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves: 2 persons

Ingredients:

1 cup handva batter
1/4 cup beet puree
1/2 tsp baking soda
Oil for cooking
Green coriander chutney

Method:
1. Mix beet puree in handva batter. Then add salt , 1 tsp oil and baking soda and whisk properly.

2. Grease and heat waffle maker ( I used a gas stove waffle maker ).

3. Then pour the prepared batter, close it and let it cook on slow flame.

4. Serve hot with green chutney.
