GULAB PAK (ROSE PETAL SWEET)

Gulab Pak

Gulab Pak is a sweet from Kutch region of Gujarat in India. The key ingredients here are milk and rose petals. It can also be prepared by using Khoya (Mava). Preparing Gulab pak using mava is easy and quick.

Ingredients:
1 cup Khoya
1 cup fresh rose petals
1tbsp ghee
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp almond slices

Method:
1. Heat ghee in a non stick pan & sauté Khoya till aroma arises.
2. Add sugar and rose petals. Mix well and cook for few more minutes. Now mix almonds and cardamom powder to the Khoya mixture and turn off the heat.
3. Press it evenly in a greased plate. Let it cool down.
4. Cut in pieces and take it out of the plate.

Note: Can add 1-2 drops of pink food colour if you wish to.
