A beautiful sweet, tangy and mildly spicy chutney made with fresh strawberries and juicy tomatoes. Ingredients

1 cup strawberries, chopped

2 medium tomatoes, chopped

2 fresh red chillies, chopped (adjust to taste)

2–3 tbsp jaggery powder

Salt to taste

2–3 tbsp water

Β½ tsp roasted cumin powder

Β½ tsp red chilli powder

ΒΌ tsp black salt

1 tsp lemon juice

Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Method

In a pan, add chopped strawberries, tomatoes and fresh red chillies.

Add jaggery powder, salt and 2–3 tablespoons water.

Cover and cook on medium flame until everything becomes soft and mushy.

Using a ladle, gently mash the mixture to get a chutney-like texture.

Add roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder and black salt. Mix well.

Add lemon juice and cook for another 1–2 minutes for flavours to combine.

Turn off the heat and garnish with freshly chopped coriander.

Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
