High Protein Heart-Shaped Rajma Paneer Kebabs

A healthy Valentine’s treat made with love

These Heart-Shaped Rajma Paneer Kebabs are a beautiful blend of health and romance on a plate. Made with protein-rich rajma and paneer, naturally coloured with beetroot puree, and lightly air-fried to perfection, these kebabs are crispy outside and soft inside.

Infused with aromatic Lucknowi kebab masala, roasted cumin, and a hint of tangy aamchur, they are flavourful yet wholesome. Shaped into adorable hearts, they make a perfect healthy Valentine’s treat for your loved ones — because love tastes even better when it’s nutritious!

Serves: 3–4
Makes: 8–10 medium heart kebabs

Ingredients:

1 cup boiled rajma (kidney beans)

1 medium boiled potato

½ cup grated paneer

2–3 tbsp beetroot puree (for natural pink colour)

3 tbsp makhana (foxnut) powder (dry roast & grind)

1 tsp green chilli paste

1 tsp roasted cumin powder

1 tsp aamchur (dry mango powder)

1–1½ tsp Lucknowi kebab masala

Salt to taste

Method:

Prepare the mixture:
In a mixing bowl, mash boiled rajma and boiled potato until smooth.

Add flavour & protein:
Add grated paneer, beetroot puree, makhana powder, green chilli paste, roasted cumin powder, aamchur, Lucknowi kebab masala, and salt.

Mix well:
Combine everything into a soft dough-like mixture. If too soft, add a little more makhana powder.

Shape with love:
Take small portions and shape into hearts using your hands or a heart-shaped cutter.

Air fry:
Brush lightly with oil and place in a preheated air fryer.
Air fry at 180°C for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and slightly crisp.

Serve hot:
Serve with mint yogurt dip or garlic hung curd dip.
