Makes: 12–15 ladoos

Ingredients:

1 cup chopped soft dates

¼ cup chopped walnuts

¼ cup chopped almonds

¼ cup chopped cashew nuts

¼ cup chopped pistachios

2 tbsp edible gum (gond)

2 tbsp ghee

¼ cup milk

2–3 tbsp poppy seeds

Method:

Roughly chop all the dry fruits. Remove seeds from the dates and chop them as well.

Heat ghee in a pan and fry the edible gum until it pops up completely. Remove and set aside.

In the same ghee, lightly fry the chopped dry fruits. Remove and keep aside.

In the remaining ghee, sauté the dates until soft. Add milk and cook until the milk is absorbed and the mixture thickens into a soft mass.

Turn off the heat, then add the fried dry fruits and gum. Mix well to combine.

When the mixture is warm enough to handle, shape it into small ladoos and roll them in poppy seeds.

Store in an airtight jar and enjoy one every morning — a cozy, energizing start to your winter day! ☀️
