MOONG DAL APPE

Moong Dal Appe is a crispy, savory, and nutritious snack made with a moong dal. You can add onions, ginger, garlic, spices and vegetables. As we are preparing it in Appe Pan, it prepare in very less oil. This protein rich and guilt free Appes are best choice for breakfast, evening snacks or appetizers. Serve it with your choice of chutney, ketchup and tea- coffee.

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Soaking time: 4 hours
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
1/2 cup split green gram (moong dal)
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tbsp chopped ginger
1 tbsp chopped green chillies
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander
Salt, to taste
Oil for cooking
Method:
- Soak the moong dal in water for 4-5 hours. Drain and grind into a coarse paste.
- Combine the ground moong dal with the onion,ginger, green chillies, coriander, salt and mix well.
- Grease the Appe pan with oil and pour the mixture into each mold.
- Cook over medium heat until the bottom is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side until crispy.
- Serve hot with chutney.
Note:
- You can add vegetables.
