CHAI BISCUIT PANCAKES

CHAI BISCUIT PANCAKES

Indian masala tea is more than just a beverage; it’s a symbol of love and emotion for Indians. The combination of chai and biscuits, especially Parle G, is a popular pairing across India. Today, I’ve given this classic combo a delicious pancake twist.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 10-12 Parle-G biscuits
  • 1 cup masala milk tea
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • Ghee/butter for cooking pancakes

Method:

  1. Grind the Parle-G biscuits into a fine powder.
  2. Add baking powder and baking soda; mix well.
  3. Gradually add the masala milk tea to the biscuit mixture, stirring to create a lump-free batter.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add a small amount of batter and spread it in a circular shape. Add a pat of ghee or butter to the sides and cook the pancake.
  5. Once cooked, flip the pancake and cook the other side. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  6. Serve the hot, soft, and fluffy pancakes with the unmistakable taste and flavor of tea.
