PUDLA SANDWICH

Pudla sandwich is popular street food of Mumbai. As it name says, two delicious dishes. Veggie and cheese loaded dish is satisfyingly delicious snack. Tried this scrumptious dish at home , though street food chef are so pro, skilled and damn faster, but home made version turned out so well and loved by all at home.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2 persons
Ingredients:
4 slices bread
2 tbsp finely chopped tomato
2 tbsp finely chopped onions
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
1 tsp sandwich masala
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp grated cheese
For pudla batter:
1/2 cup gram flour
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Method:
- Add all spices in gram flour and prepare pudla batter.
- Heat griddle and grease it with butter then dip bread in batter and place on griddle, same way dip one more bread slice and place beside the first slice.
- Now put chopped tomato, onion and coriander on both the bread slices, cook little.
- Sprinkle sandwich masala and add butter, flip and cook.
- Again flip and grate some cheese, fold and cook little.
- Serve hot.
