FRUIT SALAD

Don’t be confused by the name. It’s not a salad. This is popular dessert prepared with various fruits and custard milk. Though there is fruit and custard in this , it is different from a fruit custard in consistency . This dessert has a sipable consistency. Chilled custard milk along with fruits makes a perfect summer dessert. In Gujarati households it is consumed as a meal along with puri, sabzi etc.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves: 4 persons

Ingredients:
1 litre milk + 1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp custard powder
1/4 cup sugar
1 big apple
2 chicko
1 banana
1/4 cup pomegranate kernels

Method:

  1. Heat milk in a thick bottom pan. After one boil, add sugar and turn the flame to low.
  2. Dilute custard powder into 1/2 cup of milk. Once sugar is completely melted, add diluted custard powder into the milk. Mix well and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally. Turn off the heat and let it cool.
  3. Once it comes to room temperature, keep in the refrigerator.
  4. Peel and chop all fruits. Add into the chilled custard milk.
  5. Serve chilled.

Note:

  1. Add fruits few serving not too early.
