BROCCOLI DILL LEAVES PARATHA

Parathas , as we know are one of the initial dishes in the Indian Main Course. Amongst various variety of Indian flat breads like roti, phulka, chapati, rotla, tandoori roti, paratha, thepla – parathas have its own large range of various varieties like tava parartha, laccha paratha, stuffed paratha etc.
Stuffed parathas are prepared with various fillings. They are consumed as breakfast and also as a meal. Here are protein packed and healthy parathas with flavourful dill leaves.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves: 2 persons

Ingredients:
1 cup wheat flour
1 tsp oil
Salt to taste
For stuffing:
1/2 cup gram flour
1 cup broccoli (finely chopped or blitzed)
1/2 cup dill leaves (chopped)
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
Pinch of asafoetida
Salt to taste
Ghee for cooking paratha

Method:

  1. Add salt and oil in wheat flour and knead medium soft dough and cover it.
  2. Heat oil and add.cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add asafoetida and onions. Sauté for a while and add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Now add broccoli, mix and sauté for couple of minutes.
  4. Add dill leaves and sauté for while.
  5. Add all spices,mix and cook for few seconds.
  6. Finally add gram flour, mix well and cook for a while than turn off the flame. Our stuffing is ready.
  7. Divide dough into equal parts. Take one and roll it. Put spoonful of stuffing in the centre.
  8. Cover it from all sides and roll it again.
  9. Now in prepheated skillet, cook paratha from both sides by adding ghee.
  10. Serve hot.

Note:

  1. You can add green chillies if you want it to be more spicy.
