WALNUT MAKHANA COOKIES

Cookie is a baked food which is prepared with the key ingredients – flour, sugar and some type of fat like butter, ghee, margarine etc. History says that cookies are originated in the 7th century AD in Persia. Cookies can be consumed anytime either as a snack or as in breakfast. Some enjoy it as a dessert as well.
Here I have prepared a very healthy, flour less and gluten free cookies.

Preparation time: 10minutes
Baking time: 15-20 minutes
Makes: 6-8 cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup makhana
1 cup walnuts
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp milk powder
2 tbsp oats (grind in a coarse powder)
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 cup butter
2 tsp honey
2 tbsp milk (if required)
6-8 walnuts
Method:
1. Dry roast makhana, then grind it in a coarse powder. Grind walnuts in a coarse powder.
2. In a mixing bowl, add powdered makhana, walnuts, oats, milk powder, brown sugar and cinnamon powder and mix well.
3. Now add butter and honey and mix well. Add milk if required.
4. Prepare cookies of your desired shape, place one piece of walnut on the top of each cookies and place it into the baking tray.
5. In a preheated oven, bake the cookies for 10-15 minutes on 180℃.
6. Once baked ,cool it completely and then store it in an airtight container.
Note:
1. Baking time may vary from oven to oven so check after 10 minutes
