NACHO CHIPS

Nachos is a delicious and spicy dish which comes from Mexican and Tex- Mex cuisine. Nachos is a combination dish consisting of Nacho chips/ tortilla chips, cheese sauce, salsa, vegetables, sour cream, guacamole etc.
Nacho chips or tortilla chips is a stand alone snack as well as the main base ingredient of Nachos.
Nacho chips are usually prepared from maize flour. We need to add some all purpose flour as maize flour is gluten free.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves: 4 persons

Ingredients:
1 cup maize flour
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp carrom seeds
Salt to taste
Oil for trying

Method:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add both flour, carom seeds, salt and knead medium hard dough with water.
  2. Divide dough in equal parts and roll them into thin tortillas using dry flour.
  3. Prick with fork and cut them into a triangles.
  4. Heat oil, fry chips till they turns crispy on medium flame. Keep stirring and flipping chips while frying to fry them uniformly.
  5. Let them cool completely. Then store in an air tight jar and use when you need.
    Note:
  6. Can add chilli flakes and oregano.
