BAKED SWEET POTATO CHIPS

Sweet potatoes are a starchy and sweet root vegetable. They are loaded with nutrients like vitamins, minerals and fiber. They are also rich in antioxidants which protect our body from free radicals and help with chronic disease. All these nutrients helps in improved eye vision and promote good gut health.
Sweet potatoes are used in various recipes from soup to dessert. There are many fasting recipes also prepared using sweet potatoes. Sweet potato chips are one of the popular recipes. I have baked these chips instead of deep frying them but they are still perfectly crunchy.

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Baking time: 10 minutes (approximately)
Serves: 2 persons
Ingredients:
2 sweet potatoes
Black pepper powder (as required)
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Wash sweet potatoes properly and peel them.
2. Slice them thin using a mandoline slicer and keep them in ice cold water for few minutes so all excess starch is removed.
3. Then spread all the chips separately on a clean kitchen cloth and pat dry with a kitchen towel.
4. Then line microwave plate with baking paper. Sprinkle some salt and pepper powder.
5. Microwave it upto 2-3 minutes in intervals. Baking time may be vary, so keep checking. Baking time depends on thhickness of your chips and temperature of your oven.
6. Let it cool completely. Store them in an air tight container
