NYLON POHA ROASTED CHIVDA

Chiwda/Chevda Is a famous munching snack. Generally it contains poha ( flattened rice ), peanuts, roasted gram. Sometimes dry coconut, dryfruits etc. are also added. Usually chivda is fried but here I have prepared roasted chiwda.

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4 persons
Ingredients:
500 grams nylon poha
1/4 cup peanuts
1/4 cup roasted spilt grams
1 sprig curry leaves
4-5 green chillies( chopped)
1 tsp black salt
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp aamchur powder (dry mango powder)
5 tbsp oil ( approximately)
Salt to taste
Method:
- Dry roast poha, till it starts wilting.
- Now in a thick bottom vessel, heat oil, add peanuts, saute it few minutes, then add roasted grams and saute till they becomes crispy. Add green chillies and curry leaves and sauté few seconds.
- Further add turmeric and aamchur powder, mix. Add poha, mix and roast it till everything becomes crunchy. Lastly add salt , mix and roast few minutes then turn off gas.
- Store it in an air tight jar once it cools down completely.
Note: - Can add powdered sugar if you like.
