GHEE KELA
(CAREMELISED BANANA)

Ghee kela is very quick recipe and basically prepared in Gujarati households. Especially when kids don’t like certain veggies in lunch, ghee kela becomes the saviour. This can be served as dessert or as a side dish too.
This delicious dish has health benefits. As we know banana has various nutrients which makes banana a complete meal. Nutrients in banana helps in digestion. It helps in decreasing stress and gives energy. Banana has one unique quality which helps in weight gain as well as weight loss. Combination of ghee and banana is also very good for health. It promotes gut health and also good for glowing skin.

Serves: 2 persons
Ingredients:
2 ripe banana
2 tsp ghee
2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
Nuts for garnishing
Method:
- Peel off banana and cut into slices.
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add banana and gently mix it with ghee. Add sugar and cardamom powder.
- Cook until sugar melts and then turn off the heat.
- Sprinkle some nuts and serve immediately.
