KACCHE KELE KI SUKHI BHAJI

Nendran banana is a variety of banana cultivated in Southern part of India and commonly used for cooking in India, also known as plantain or cooking banana. It’s large, starchy and less sweet than dessert bananas. These bananas are used yo make chips, curries and dessert like halwa. ‘Nendran banana halwa ‘ is popular dessert in South Indian Cuisine.
Nendran banana is beneficial for lowering blood pressure amd altering metabolism. It has a rich source of vitamin B6 and C along with minerals like potassium and magnesium.
Today I have prepared dry sabzi using nendran banana. I prepared it without onion, garlic, tomato or any green or fresh spices aka Jain version.

Preparation time: 10minutes
Cooking time: 10minutes
Serves: 2 persons
Ingredients:
2 Nendran banana
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp sesame seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander-cumin powder
1 tbsp roughly crushed peanuts
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Wash and cut banana is half and pressure cook them. Then remove peel and chop it in dices.
2. Heat oil, add cumin seeds, sesame seeds and sauté for few seconds.
3. Further add crushed peanuts along with all spices and sauté for couple of minutes on a low flame.
4. Add chopped banana and salt. Mix well. Add 2 tbsp of water, mix well and cook for two minutes. Then turn off the heat.
5. Serve hot.
