Minty Laccha Paratha

MINTY LACCHA PARATHA

Various parathas are the heart of Indian cuisine. Parathas are consumed as a breakfast and also as a main course along with sabzis and dals.
Laccha paratha is also known as chur chur paratha is a flaky and layered parathas.
Here is a very simple mint flavoured laccha parathas which can be cosumed with curd ,pickle etc.in breakfast.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4 persons

Ingredients:
2 cup wheat flour
1 cup chopped mint leaves
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp nigelia seeds (kalonji)
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Ghee for cooking paratha

Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients in wheat flour and knead medium soft dough.
  2. Divide the dough into equal parts, take one and roll it.
  3. Apply oil over it and sprinkle dry flour.
  4. Now start pleating like fan from one end to other and roll it in a spiral.
  5. Now again roll the paratha with light hand.
  6. On a heated skillet, first cook little without ghee from both sides.
  7. Then apply ghee and cook from both sides.
  8. Serve hot.
    Note:
  9. You can mix various spices and sprinkle along with flour before start pleating.
  10. You can cut stripes by keeping ends intact and then also pleat.
