CHOCOLATE CAKE

When thinking of making a cake, first we need oven. This is old news, nowadays cake can be prepared without an oven, yes, without an oven. I have made cake by steam cook method in pressure cooker. It turned out so good. So here is a cake with ingredients which are easily available in our kitchen pantry.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time : 25 minutes
Serves : 4 persons
Ingredients:
1/2 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup Malai. (milk cream)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk powder
2 tsp cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2-3/4 cup milk
1/4 tsp vanilla essence
Method:
1. Beat malai and sugar well.

2. Sieve all dry ingredients together.
3. Add this to malai-sugar mixture and mix well.
4. Now add milk little by little and prepare a cake batter.


5. Cover the pressure cooker bottom with salt and close pressure cooker without ring and whistle and turn on the heat.
6. Lastly add vanilla essence and mix well.
7. Pour prepared batter in greased and dusted cake tin. Tap the tin couple of time.
8. Place this pan in the heated pressure cooker and cover it again and let the cake be steam cooked on slow flame for about 25 minutes.
9. After 20 minutes, check with toothpick, if the cake is baked or not. If the tooth pick comes out clean,cake is baked and ready to eat.
10. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Consume it when you wish. You can have it as it is or can do icing.
