DAHI K PARATHE
(CURD PANEER PARATHA)

Dahi k parathe are yummy and healthy parathas from North India. They are one of the popular breakfasts which are served with pickle, raita etc. Generally they are served in breakfast but they can be served in lunch too.
As parathas are staple in many Indian states, there are many varieties of parathas prepared in Indian households and consumed as breakfast and served in meals. Stuffed parathas are as popular as simple parathas and loved by all. Apart from various vegetable stuffed parathas, these curd parathas are also popular.

Preparation time: 10minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves : 4 persons
Ingredients:
For dough:
2 cup wheat flour
2 tsp oil/ghee
Salt to taste
For stuffing:
1 cup hung curd
1 cup crumbled/grated paneer ( cottage cheese )
1/2 cup finely chopped coriander
1 finely chopped onion
1 tbsp ginger-chilli paste
2 tbsp gram flour
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Ghee for cooking paratha
Method:
1. Knead a soft dough by adding oil and salt . Cover and keep aside.
2. Heal oil and add cumin seeds.
3.Once they splutter, add ginger chilli paste and saute for a few seconds.
4. Further add onions and saute till they become translucent.
5. Then add gram flour and saute it for 1-3 minutes on low flame.


6. Add crumbled paneer and turmeric powder and mix well and cook for few seconds.

7. Finally add coriander,mix well and turn off the heat.

8. Let it cool completely.
9. Once it cools down, add hung curd and salt and mix well.


10. Knead dough again by adding few drops of oil and divide it in equal parts.
11. Take one, roll it little, put spoonful of stuffing in centre.


12. Gather all the sides and stick to centre. Pinch out extra dough from centre, if any.

13. Roll paratha carefully with the help of dry flour.
14. Heat the skillet, cook paratha lightly from both sides, without ghee.

15. Then add ghee and cook from both sides.


16. Serve hot.

Note:
1. Can add boiled and mashed potatoes.
