VERMICELLI CUSTARD

Custard is a saucy dish whcih is traditionally prepared with cream,milk and eggs , But we get custard powder in market which makes it easier for the preparation of custard. Egg less custard powder is also available in the market.
Fruit custard is a very famous dessert. Chopped fruits with thick custard sauce is all time favourite dessert.
Here I have made Vermicelli custard.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves: 2 persons
Ingredients:
1.5 liter full cream milk
1/2 cup vermicelli
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp saffron
1/4 cup chopped mix dry fruits
2 tbsp custard powder
1 tbsp ghee
Method:
1. Spare half cup milk and add saffron in rest of the milk and let it boil, after one boil turn the flame on slow.

2. On other side , heat ghee in a pan, roast vermicelli till it turns to golden brown.


3. After few minutes of simmering, milk starts thickening, add roasted vermicelli, mix and cook for 5-7 more minutes so they cook properly.


4. Add sugar, mix and cook more for a couple of minutes.
5. Now dilutes custard powder in the spared milk and add it into vermicelli milk and cook for 5-7 more minutes. After adding custard it will thicken. Add chopped dry fruits and turn off the heat.


6. Once it comes to room temperature, chill it in a refrigerator.
7. Serve chilled.
