GOLDEN MILK TEA (VEGAN)

There is no need to tell anything about healthiest and nutritious Turmeric which has lots of health benefits. Turmeric is helpful in depression, insomnia, arthritis. It also has anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Since time immemorial, turmeric is used as a home remedy. Turmeric milk ,turmeric latte is also now become most consumed drink.
Here ,I have used fresh turmeric as a key ingredient along with ginger and some spices.

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2 cups

Ingredients:
2 cups non dairy milk ( I used almond milk )
2 tsp freshly grated turmeric
1 tsp freshly grated ginger
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
Sweetener of your choice( I used jaggery powder)

Method:

1. Mix all the ingredients with almond milk.

2. Turn on the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally.

3. After 10 minutes all flavours of spices are infused nicely with milk.

4. Strain through fine mesh sieve and add sweetener of your choice. You can also skip adding sweetener.
5. Pour it into mugs and serve hot.

Note:
1. Can use turmeric powder instead of fresh turmeric.
2. Can use regular dairy milk but then cook as it may be curdled.
