PEAS PANEER BITES

Starters, snacks are essential in any cuisine. There are many choices in starters and snacks and those are fried. But now time changed and people have become more health conscious ,so non fried, shallow fried and baked starters are becoming first choice.
Here is non fried but tasty and healthy snack which can be best choice for high tea, kitty parties and even for kid’s tiffin. Combination of peas and paneer with vegetables make these bites a healthy treat.

Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Serves : 4 persons

Ingredients:

1 cup peas
1/2 cup crumbled paneer
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander
1 tbsp finely chopped carrots
1 tbsp finely chopped potato
1 small finely chopped onion
1 tbsp chilli garlic paste
1/4 cup semolina
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp aamchur
1/4 tsp cooking soda
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking

Method:

1. Pressure cook peas for one whistle by adding little water.

2. Then grind it, spare some boiled peas.

3. Now in other vessel, add all ingredients along with grinded peas and combine well. Add little water to prepare thick batter. Cover and rest for 15 minutes.

4. Grease and heat paniyaram pan, fill it’s cavities with prepared batter, cover and let it cook for 3-5 minutes .

5. Then flip all bites, add few drops of oil, cover and let it cool from other side.

6. Serve hot with chutney , ketchup.

Note:
1. Can add oats to make it more healthy.
