DABELI BOMB

Imagine when you bite, you’ll feel bundle of tastes in your mouth. Yes, humble bun is baked with spicy dabeli filling.
I am not a regular Baker so whenever I bake something and it turns out good then it’s party time for me.πŸ™‚ Baked bun with dabeli stuffing and it’s turned out really good.

Preparation time: 1.5 hours
Cook time : 1.5 hours
Serves:3 persons

Ingredients:

For dough:
1.5 cup all purpose flour
1.5 tbsp oil
1 tsp dry active yeast
1/2 cup warm water
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar

For dabeli filling:
2 boiled and mashed potatoes
8 tbsp dabeli masala ( store brought )
2 tsp oil
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander
2 cheese cubes
1 tbsp dates tamarind chutney
1 tsp garlic chutney

Method:
1. Heat oil and add mashed potatoes, dabeli masala and mix well. Add little water so it can properly mix. Cook for couple of minutes then add both chutney and coriander, mix and turn off the flame, keep aside.
2. Add salt, sugar and yeast in warm water and cover it for 10 minutes so yeast can bloom. Once the yeast blooms, add oil in all purpose flour and knead soft dough with yeast mixture. Apply oil and cover it. Rest for an hour.
3. Grease baking tray and keep ready. Divide the dough in equal parts. Grease your palms with oil, take one part of the dough, flat it on your palm, put spoonful of dabeli mixture, put small slice of cheese and roll the dough in smooth rounds.

4. Place it in prepared baking tray . Apply oil on them and cover it. Let it rise for an hour in warm place.

5. Once the dabeli rises, pre heat the oven and bake it on 200 ℃ for 20 minutes till the top is golden brown.

6. Remove it , apply some butter on dabeli buns and bake it on high for 2-3 minutes.

7. Serve hot.
