RAW PAPAYA PARATHA

Papaya is available in major parts of the world . Though it is native to Mexico. Papayas are an excellent source of vitamin C . The raw papaya contains high amount of papain enzyme which works great in digestion. Apart from vitamin C ,it also contains vitamin E.
Generally we use raw papaya in salad, fresh pickle, curries & in making tootie frootie but today I made stuffed parathas with raw papaya.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves: 2 persons

Ingredients:

For dough:

1 cup wheat flour
1 tsp oil
Salt to taste

For raw papaya stuffing:

1 cup grated raw papaya
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander
1 tsp finely chopped ginger
1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
1 tsp finely chopped garlic
1 tsp aamchur ( dried mango powder)
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking

Method:
1. Knead medium soft dough from dough ingredients.
2. Mix well all ingredients of the stuffing.

3. Now divide the dough in equal sized balls. Take one ball, roll it, put spoonful of stuffing in centre, cover it from all sides and roll it again.

. On a heated tavi/ skillet cook parathas from both sides with oil.

5. Serve hot.
