RAAB

As winter starts raab, kadha, soups took place in our kitchen. Winter is the season to rejuvenate our inner health for whole year. Lots of green vegetables available in market & we should use maximum vegetables in our daily meals.
Raab is a drink which is consumed in winters as well as when we suffer from cough & cold. Raab can be made from various ingredients & with different methods.
In chilly winter nights, this piping hot raab gives inner warmth & strength.

Preparation time: 2 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves: 3

Ingredients:
2 tbsp ghee
2 tbsp edible gum ( gond )
1 tbsp dry ginger powder
1 tsp piprimool powder ( ganthola powder )
6 almonds ( sliced )
3 tbsp jaggery

Method:
1. Heat ghee & add edible gum, once gum starts popping & puffing, add 3.5 cups of water.

2. Then add both spice powders & mix well. Add jaggery too.

3. Once it starts boiling , turn the flame on low & let it boil for 5-7 minutes.

4. Lastly add, almonds, boil for few minutes & then turn off the flame.

5. Serve hot.

Note:
1. Can add grated dry coconut with almonds.
2. Can replace jaggery with rock sugar ( khadi sakkar ).
