DABELI

Dabeli is a street food which is originated in Kutch Region of Gujarat. And now it is popular and available at many places in India. This spicy street food need not more description.

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time : 20 minutes
Serves : 4

Ingredients:
4 dabeli buns
4 tsp garlic chutney
4 tbsp tamarind dates chutney
1 finely chopped onions
2 tbsp masala peanuts
2 tbsp pomegranate seeds
1 cup besan sev
Butter for toasting
For stuffing:
2 boiled & mashed potatoes
8 tbsp dabeli masala ( available in market )
2 tsp oil
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander

Method:
1. Heat oil, add mashed potatoes & dabeli masala, mix well. Add little water so it can mix properly.
2. Cook for couple of minutes, add coriander & turn off the heat. Our stuffing is ready.

3. Now cut the bun from centre. Apply garlic chutney on one side & tamarind dates chutney on the other side. Put prepared stuffing ,add some onion, peanuts & pomegranate seeds.

4. Now on a pre heated skillet, toast this dabeli from both sides with butter.

5. Garnish it with sev, pomegranate & peanuts . Serve hot with chutneys.

Note:
1. You can make coriander – garlic chutney.
2. Can add some pomegranate in stuffing.
3. Can use oil or ghee instead of butter.
4. Can add grated cheese too.
