MAGAS (GRAM FLOUR LADDU )

Magas/ besan laddu / gram flour laddu is famous all around India with different names & process. It is famous as prasad in Swaminarayan Temple. This is not very hard to make & also it is a favourite of everyone.

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Serves: 4 persons

Ingredients:

1 cup gram flour
1 cup ghee
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup powdered almond
1 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 cup milk (warm )

Method:
1. Add 2 tbsp ghee in warm milk. Mix well. Now slowly add this mixture in gram flour & mix in crumbly texture. Do not add more milk ghee mixture to the gram flour.

2. Press it & keep it for a while, than pressing with light hand , pass through it from sieve .

3. Heat ghee in thick bottom vessel. Saute sieved gram flour on slow flame till it becomes lighter & you smell aroma.

4. When it is about to saute, add almond powder, mix well & saute for while . Then add cardamom powder , mix well & turn off heat.

5. Let it cool . Once it cools down add powdered sugar, mix properly & make small laddus.

Note:
1. You can skip adding almond powder. I have added it to make laddus more healthy.
