DRY ROASTED GRAM CHUTNEY

This dry & powdered chutney is speciality of the Jain community. It is consumed with snacks & meals. During religious festival Paryushan, when no green vegetables are allow to consume, this dry chutney helps to satisfy meal without green vegetables.

Ingredients:
1 cup roasted grams ( daliya, without skin )
1/4 cup peanuts
1/4 cup sesame seeds
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp powdered sugar
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Grind grams in coarse powder. Grind peanuts also coarsely then remove skin.
2. Now heat oil, add sesame seeds, after few seconds add peanuts & saute for a while.

3. Then add coarse roasted grams & saute till you feel the aroma.

4. Then turn off heat ,add turmeric powder & red chilli powder, mix well & store it in a container. Use with meals.

Note:
1. Can add more red chilli powder, if you like more spicy.
