SWEET POTATO POPS

Sweet potatoes is favourite of Lord Shiva & we offer it as Prasad on Mahashivratri. Sweet potatoes have excellent quantity of vitamin A as well as have vitamin C , manganese & copper in good amount. If we see it’s health benefits- it helps in digestion & helps in curing stomach ulcers. It boosts immune system & maintains water balance in body. Though it has many health benefits we should consume it occasionally.

Ingredients:
2 sweet potatoes
1 carrot
1/2 cup finely chopped coriander
1 tsp green chilli paste
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp dry mango powder( aamchur )
Salt to taste
2 cheese cubes
2 tbsp corn flour
3 tbsp oats
Oil for frying
Method:
1. Boil, peel & mash sweet potatoes. Grate carrot
2. Now mix sweet potatoes, carrot, green chilli paste and all spices. Make small balls out of this mixture. Make small pieces from cheese cubes.
3. Now press ball from centre, put one cheese piece in it, again prepare the ball.

4. Make slurry of cornflour by adding little water. Dip the ball in it, roll into oats.


5. Now in pre heated oil, deep fry these balls properly from all sides.

6. Our cheesy pops are ready. Serve hot with chutney ,ketchup or any dip.

Note:
1. Can replace oats with semolina, bread crumbs or vermicelli.
