THANDAI POWDER (HOME MADE)

Colourful Holi festival is in air, and as it is celebrated in many parts of India, still Gujarat & Rajasthan is on the top. Holi festival is incomplete without thandai. Thandai is cold & chillen milk with various succes & nuts, which can be made by ‘ ‘ soak & paste ‘ method but now a days its time for ‘ ‘ ‘Quick & Instant ‘ . So here are an aromatic spice blend to prepare instant thandai.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup cashew niya
1/4 cup pistachio
2 tbsp melon seeds
1 tbsp fennel seeds
1 tbsp poppy seeds
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp cardamom seeds
1 tsp saffron strands
1/4 tsp nutmeg powder (optional)
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Method:
1. Roughly chop all nuts.
2. Now mix all ingredients except sugar & grind into powder.
3. Mix sugar in grinded powder .

4. Store in air tight container. Use as per your need. Can add tablespoonful in glass of Milk & enjoy.
5. For more taste, can add fresh rose petals or gulkand along with thandai powder in milk , blend & enjoy.

Note:
1. You can skip adding sugar in powder. Add as per your taste when use it.
2. After grinding you can sift it in sieve.
3. Can add dry ginger powder also.
