BREAD TARTLETS

BREAD TARTLETS This Mexican starter is suitable for any party cause you can make bread tartlets in advance. I stuffed these tartlets with veggies & corn, which means ” Taste + Health ” . Hope you all like this hassel free starter , which is easy to serve & satisfy taste buds too.

Ingredients:

For bread tartlets:

6 bread slices

2 tbsp butter

For stuffing:

1 tbsp red bell pepper( finely chopped)

1 tbsp yellow bell pepper ( finely chopped)

1 tbsp capsicum ( finely chopped)

1 big tomato ( peeled & chopped)

1/4 cup boiled corn kernels

1 tbsp green garlic (finely chopped)

1/4 cup spring onion whites ( finely chopped)

2 tbsp Mexican seasoning

1 tbsp red chilli flakes

Salt to taste

For serving:

3 tbsp tomato ketchup

3 tbsp grated cheese.

Method:

For bread tartlets:

1. Cut the edges of the bread & roll bread with rolling pin.

2. Now grease the muffin tray with butter.

3. Arrange bread in it & lightly press. Brush it with the butter.

4. Now in a pre heated oven , bake it for 10 minutes or till it becomes crisp on 180℃.

5. Once it is baked, cool down & keep aside.

For stuffing:

1. Heat oil in non stick pan , sauté onion garlic for few seconds.

2. Add tri coloured bell peppers, sauté for 1 minute , then add tomatoes & sauté for 1 minute.

3. Finally add corn, all spices & seasoning, mix well & cook for 2 minutes. Turn off the heat.

How to serve:

1. Fill tartlets with filling, pour some ketchup & top up with cheese & serve.

Note:

1. Can add & replace your choice of vegetables in your stuffing.

2. Can add & replace your choice of cheese.
