PAAN SONDESH/SANDESH

There is a tradition of having Mukhwas, Mouth freshner after meals in major regions, same tradition is having some dessert after meals also in many regions. Just like saying “Kuch Mitha ho jaye”.😊
Here I combined sweet & Paan & make lightly sweetened but flavoursome Sandesh.

Ingredients:
200 gm fresh paneer
3 tbsp condensed milk
2 tbsp dessicated coconut
2 tbsp Gulkand(optional)
1 tbsp sweet mukhwas
8-10 betel leaves( finely chopped)
Silver leaf for garnish
Method:
1. Blend paneer in blender.
2. In a non stick pan add paneer, betel leaves, condensed milk & dessicated coconut. Mix well & cook on low flame, stirring continuously.
3. Cook until all ingredients combine well & form a dough. Don’t cook more , otherwise over cooked paneer doesn’t bind.
4. Transfer it in other bowl & wait till it cools little.
5. Once cool add sweet mukhwas mix & knead with light hand & make sandesh. If you wish to add Gulkand, add it at this stage with mukhwas.
6. Garnish with silver leaf (virk).
Note:
1. Can use your choice of mukhwas.
2. Also can top sandesh with some glaced cherries or tooti frooti.
