BROKEN WHEAT FUDGE

As a result of people leaning towards health consciousness & awareness, the trend is inclining towards healthy living & we choose high- nutrition meals. Broken wheat aka Dalia, oats etc healthy ingredients have taken place in our kitchen. Though Dalia is used in India from many years as patient & kids food & in making sweet dish( lapsi ). But now its used in many way, with many recipes to take more advantage of it’s health benefits.

Ingredients:
1 cup broken wheat ( Dalia )
1/2 cup condensed milk
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
100gms cooking chocolate
1 tbsp ghee/butter
Method:
1. Soak Dalia in hot water for 2 hours.
2. After 2 hours, drain out excess water from dalia.
3. Now melt chocolate in a double boiler.
4. In a big bowl, mix melted chocolate & condensed milk properly. Then add soaked dalia, ghee & walnuts in it. Mix well.
5. Now pour it in greased baking tray.
6. In preheated oven bake it at 180° for 10-15 minutes or till all water evaporates.
7. Increase time in oven, step by step after checking water part.
8. Once it cools down to room temperature keep it in refrigerator.
9. Serve chill it as desert with vanilla ice cream, or as a sweet.
Note:
1. If you don’t have condensed milk, take 2 cup of milk, add sugar & boil it till it reduces to one cup.
