RAJGIRA MATHRI

Mathri is known for all of us. Various types of Mathris we all make & also available in market also. Here is Rajgira mathri..which is not only consume in fasts but also Rajgira is Gluten free, so healthy too. Hope you all like it.

Ingredients:
2 cups rajgira(amarnath) flour
1/2 cup milk( approx)
1 tbsp curd
1-2 tbsp ghee
Ghee for frying
For garnishing:
1-2 tsp cardamom powder
5-6 pistachio slices
For sugar syrup:
I cup sugar

Method:
1. Mix ghee with flour & while adding milk, knead the dough.
2.Then, add curd & knead again.
3. Knead dough medium-hard.
4. Now roll the dough into small circles & for perfect shape cut with circle cutter or sharp bottle cap.
5. Prick with tooth pick.
6.Fry it in ghee on slow flame.
7. Now, add a little water to sugar and make thick sugar syrup.
8.Make sure that the sugar syrup is of almost two strings consistency.
9.Now dip one by one fried mathri in it & put it in plate.
10. Sprinkle cardamom powder & pistachio on it.
