SALSA(HOMEMADE)

Salsa is used in many dishes as condiment. Though it is available in stores, but we can make it at home as well. Make it yourself & store it before any party to save time. I made some changes as per my choice.

Ingredients:

6 fresh & hard tomatoes

3- 4 onions

2 green capsicum

1 tbsp red chilli powder

1 tbsp olive oil

Salt to taste.

1. Blanch the tomatoes.
2. Chop the onions finely.
3. Apply oil on capsicum & burn it’s skin on direct flame. Now clean & remove upper burnt peels of capsicum & chop it finely.
4. Peel out the skin of blanched tomatoes & finely chop it, remove the seeds.
5. Heat oil & add onions, saute for few minutes & add capsicum & tomatoes.
6. Now add salt & red chilli powder too.
7. Mix well & cook for more 10 minutes.
8. If you want to store it, let it cool completely & store it in deep freeze.

Notes:
1. If you want more spicy, add more red chilli powder. I made it as per my taste.
2. Can add finely chopped garlic.
3. Can add lemon juice/ vinegar for tangy taste.
