Believe me it’s not at all time consuming. Also by changing just one ingredient in the regular hummus, you can can make varieties of flavoured hummus.

Ingredients:
1.5 cup boiled chick pea
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup tahini (refer to homemade tahini recipe)
2-3 cloves of garlic (minced)
4 tbs olive oil
1/2 tsp ground cumin (optional)
2-3 tbs water
Salt to taste
1/2 cup spinach purée
Paprika to garnish

Method:
1. In a grinding jar, add tahini & lemon juice. Process it for a minute. Scrape the sides and process it for 30 more seconds. One can process more than 30 seconds to make the tahini more creamy which will eventually make the hummus also smooth and creamy.
2. Add garlic, 2 tbsp of olive oil, cumin powder and salt to whipped tahini and process it for 30 to 40 seconds or till all ingredients mix well. Scrape the sides and bottom in between.
3. Now add boiled and drained chick pea and process it till it becomes a smooth paste. Don’t forget to scrape the sides and the bottom. To make the texture smooth, add 2-3 tbsp water and process to get a perfect texture & consistency.

4. Lastly, add the spinach purée and process it till it blends well. Drizzle the rest of the olive oil & paprika to garnish the hummus. Our delicious homemade hummus is ready to serve.
5. Homemade hummus can be stored in a refrigerator for a week.

Note: One can try various flavours like beet root, black olive, tomato, bell peppers, etc. just by adding respective puree.
