CHEESY GREEN PEAS SOUP

Green Peas are one of the main vegetable used in Indian Kitchen. This kitchen favourite vegetable contains vitamin C in abundance as well as dietary fiber , vitamin A & protein in moderate quantity. Also contain Potassium, Iron & Magnesium in little quantity & cheese as we know gives protein & calcium. Combination of peas & cheese makes this soup tasty & kids friendly. Because of cheese , kids like to have it.
Ingredients:
2 cups green peas
1/2 cup chopped coriander
1 potato
1 onion
2 tbsp butter/ghee
1 tbsp corn flour
3 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1 cup grated cheese
Salt to taste.
For garnish:
Fresh cream (optional)
Method:
1. In a pressure pan heat butter/ghee & saute onions till light brown, add green peas,coriander & potato. Saute little. Add half cup of water & close lid of pressure pan & give 3 whistles. Release steam instant & open the lid of pressure pan.
2. Once it cools down blend it finely. Add more one cup water.
3. Now add salt & pepper. Mix cornflour in cold milk & add into it.
4. Now bring it to boil, add half of cheese at the time of boiling.
5. Now turn off & add rest of cheese & add little cream also, if you wish. Serve hot.

Notes:
1. Can add cinnamon powder also.
2. Can replace coriander with spinach.
