CORN RICE CRISPIES

Fresh corn kernels & rice..combination of these two ingredients makes this snack crispy and crunchy! This anytime snack , I bet will become a favourite in kids as well as elders as well. You can have it with tea or munch it without anything. Munch it while watching tv or munch at high tea… Choice is yours!

Ingredients:
1 cup rice
1 cup corn kernels
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp aamchur( dry mango powder)
1 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp cornflour
1 pinch asafoetida
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

Method:
1. Soak rice in water for 2-3 hours.
2. Boil corn kernels & let it cool.
3. Grind rice in grinder without water.
4. Also make smooth paste of corn kernels.
5. Now mix both rice & corn paste & rest of ingredients.
6. If prepared dough is soft ,add more cornflour.
7. Now fill the extruder ( saancha/press) with prepared dough.
8. In a pre heated oil, make crispies of your choice of shape. Fry on a medium heat from both sides till it becomes crispy.
9. Store it in air tight container after it cools down completely.
