STIR FRIED VEGETABLES


Stir fried vegetables is an easy and quick recipe with colourful amalgamation of various vegetables. As its names states, stir fry cooking is the key of this dish. Stir fry cooking is a Chinese cooking technique in which ingredients are cooked on a very high flame, while stirring continuously. This technique originated in China and in present time this technique is spread world wide , especially in Asia. The important tip for stir fryingbis to keep everything ready before you start cooking, as we are cooking on a high flame. So make sure you chop all the vegetables in advance and keep all sauces and spices ready. You can customize veggies, sauces as per your choice.

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves: 2 persons

Ingredients:
1/4 cup shredded purple cabbage
1/4 cup broccoli florets
3 baby corns (cut in slices)
2 tbsp green zucchini (Jullienne)
2 tbsp yellow zucchini (Jullienne)
1 tbsp green capsicum (jullienne)
1 tbsp yellow bell pepper (jullienne)
1 tbsp red bell pepper (jullienne)
2 tbsp chopped spring onion greens
1 onion (sliced)
1 tsp finely chopped garlic
1 tsp finely chopped ginger
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp red chilli sauce
1 tsp black sesame seeds
1 tsp white sesame seeds
1 tsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp oil
Salt

Method:

  1. Chop all vegetables and keep ready.
  2. Par boil babycorn, zucchini and broccoli.
  3. Heat oil and start stir frying onion and garlic on a high flame for one minute. Then add ginger and cook for few seconds.
  4. Add purple cabbge and stir fry few seconds followed by all bell peppers. Stir fry them for few seconds. Finally add parboiled vegetables and give quick stir for couple of seconds.
  5. Add both sauces and both sesame seeds.
  6. Finally add salt, pepper and spring onion greens. After quick stir turn off the heat.
  7. Serve hot. You can serve it with steamed rice or can enjoy as it is.
