TZATZIKI

Tzatziki also known as tarator or cacik is a dip mostly used in Mediterranean and greek cuisine. It is prepared with curd, cucumber, garlic, olive oil, salt ,lemon juice, mint leaves, dill leaves etc. This dip is best in summer as it is light and yogurt based. It goes good with any chips, falafel, gyros, tacos, pita etc.

Ingredients:
1 cup hungcurd/greek yogurt
1 cucumber
8 garlic cloves
1/2 tbsp finely chopped mint leaves
1/2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt to taste
1 tsp black pepper powder
Method:
- Grate cucumber and squeeze out juice. Mince or grate gralic.
- Add salt ,black pepper powder and garlic in hung curd and mix well.
- Add sqeezed cucumber, mint and coriander leaves along with lemon juice in hung curd mixture and mix well.
- Lastly add olive oil, mix and chill the dip in refrigerator.
- Serve chilled with your choice of snack.
