MAKHANA OATS SUKHDI

Sukhdi/ golpapdi is pooular as well as healthy sweet which can easily prepared with wheat flour, jaggery and ghee. It can stay fresh for many days that’s why it is always included in food list when we travel long.
As we know makhana ( fox nut ) and oats are very healthy and having lots 9f nutritional value. Today I have made sukhadi with these two ingredients. One piece of this healthy sweet, along with health benefits, satiate your sweet cravings also.

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves : 6 persons

Ingredients:

1 cup wheat flour
1 cup oats
2 cups Makhana
2 cup grated jaggery
1 cup or more ghee
1 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
2 tbsp almond flakes

Method:

1. Dry roast makhana and oats separately and then once they cool down, grind them in powder, separately.

2. Heat half cup ghee and saute wheat flour in slow flame till ut becomes pink.

3. Once it is sauted, add both makhana and oats powder and mix . Add a little ghee ( about 1/4 cup) and saute for 2-4 minutes.

4. Add cardamom powder and nutmeg powder, mix and turn off the heat.

5. Add grated jaggery and mix well.

6. Transfer this mixture to any plate or tray and flatten the surface with the bottom of small bowl. Sprinkle almond flakes and press slightly.

7. After a while, make cuts to it and once it cools completely, separate pieces and store it in an air tight jar.

Note:
1. You can add more or less jagerry as per your taste.
